Description of the activity

The Classic Wine Tour takes us on a discovery of Dievole viticulture. A tasting of typical Tuscan wines, sons of the Chianti Classico area: for centuries our winery has been producing wine and doing so with respect for age-old traditions, enhancing and studying the soils, respecting the environment and the precious ecosystem in which we are located. The Classic Tour starts at Dievole’s wine shop. Here our staff will recount the history of our winery, which begins in 1090 and continues to the present day. The tour will start with a visit to the production cellar, housed in the ancient, now restored premises. where the large, rough concrete tulips used for fermenting the wine are located. The next room, the barrel cellar, is instead the realm where the wine rests, for months and years, to reach its full potential. Here, in addition to the large French oak barrels, you can also see artisanal barrels, made from wood from Tuscan forests, a tribute to an almost disused craftsmanship and used for a special project that we will tell you about. The tour ends with a tasting at the wine shop of three wines and a fine extra virgin olive oil. This wine tour, in the heart of Tuscany, is an experience that takes place daily, by reservation only, in small groups.
